Intellectual Property and Innovation Law
Innovation is affected by many areas of the law, such as intellectual property, company law, taxation, labour law, migration law, contract law and competition law.
The Centre takes a holistic approach to innovation law, focusing on intellectual property, company law and taxation. It collaborates with other University Centres and Institutes in a number of fields of study.
The Centre’s members teach various courses and publish regularly in specialised journals within their fields; it also publishes its own Legal Collection, containing theses and other academic contributions.
The Centre regularly organises seminars, talks and other training days, including the traditional Start-ups, SMEs and Innovation Day, which is held every year, usually in early spring.
Finally, the Centre makes its services available with the wider local economy, providing consultation and legal opinions relating to Innovation Law.
