CFA Institute Research Challenge
The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an equity research competition among student teams from the world’s top university business and finance programs. Students write an equity research report on a publicly-traded company and present their findings to an expert panel. The teams are judged and a winner selected based on their written reports and presentations. Throughout the competition, leading investment professionals volunteer as mentors and judges, and teach the students the best practices in equity research and corporate analysis

Our team participated in the EMEA Subregional rounds. Only 14 teams from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa took part in this round.

15 February - Swiss Final - 1st place!
Five MScF students, representing the University of Neuchâtel, won the final of the prestigious CFA Institute Research Challenge 2023/2024 in Switzerland in Zurich. Congratulations for their great achievement!

2023
3 May - Global Final
At the final, the University of Sydney won the CFA Global Champion Award. There was no ranking for the rest of the teams.
Nevertheless, we are very proud of our team from the University of Neuchâtel! They did a terrific job! Only 6 teams participated in the final (among more than 1100+ universities that participated this year). Participating was already an incredible achievement.

13-14 April - EMEA Regional Final
Our team was awarded the title of EMEA Regional Champion and advanced to the Global Final which took place in Washington DC on 3 May at the CFA Institute conference "Asset and Risk Allocation, Building Resilient Portfolios for the Future".
